Marlies started her consultancy in 2005 with three objectives in mind: to uncover the strengths and capacities already within client organizations; to help organizations develop appealing narratives for their stakeholders; and to bring a high quality infrastructure to ensure that the changes that are needed within organizations are enabled. Over the years she has broadened her approach as she realized building strong relationships with external stakeholders was only half the job - internal relationships, motivations and drivers, also needed to be attended to. She now works with her clients across this continuum, from external stakeholders to internal stakeholders.
Her experience, empathy, and decisiveness enable her to build bridges: Between sometimes conflicting cultures and interests; between internal and external stakeholders; between strategy and practice; and between the boardroom and the business.

Marlies also brings to the table her global agency experience, wide sector knowledge, strategic imagination and a capacity to quickly get to the essence of complex issues. She is dynamic and enterprising and aims to build long lasting relationships with clients. Her various positions as Supervisory Board Member inspired her to publish on the subject of integration of culture, behavior and reputation in the modus operandi of supervisory boards.
